Thursday Thirteen #13 (13…13)
THIRTEEN MOVIES I OWN THAT I ALSO HAPPEN TO BE IN LOVE WITH
(I’m in love with a great deal more, but I don’t own them yet.)
1. Lady and the Tramp It was made in 1955 way before I was born but I’ve loved it since I was very small. I’m sure I must have seen it, really…about a thousand times.
2. The Neverending Story This was made in 1984…when I was 7. Sad. It’s good stuff though.
3. 200 Cigarettes You would have had to be there really when April and I watched it, but the funniest part is the outburst of Janeane Garofalo’s character in the cab about how the matches are disappointing her. It doesn’t sound funny at all, I know; that’s why you had to be there. Anway…
4. Talladega Nights I know. Don’t judge me.
5. Mona Lisa Smile I am an absolute sucker for anything remotely having to do with feminism. And although some wouldn’t say she’s the greatest actress, I don’t believe there was anyone more perfect for the role than Julia Roberts.
6. Friends: Season 1-10 No, it’s not a movie. No, I probably shouldn’t even be trying to count all the episodes seeing as how it’s not a movie in the first place. I care not. I’m in love with it, enough to have all the seasons.
7. Yoga Booty Ballet Again, it’s not a movie…again, don’t judge me. It’s fun, especially with the ‘side saddle’ exercise.
8. The Black Stallion I was 2 when it came out and not long after I loved horses (although we lived in LFP which is really not conducive to horses…sad). It’s still a great movie in my book.
9. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants For two reasons; 1. my mom loves it too, and 2. I love the soundtrack.
10. Black Sheep I’m sorry, but ‘fat-man-in-a-little-coat’? Hilarious.
11. Madagascar I know. The monkies are overwhelmingly funny, in my opinion.
12. What About Bob? Ha! Is all I have to say.
13. Brokedown Palace I first watched this with my Audrey; it’s about best friends, which is the main reason I love it. Second reason? Again, I love the soundtrack.
