Make sure you’re ready to take the phrase “I don’t want to” out of your vernacular according to Phyllis Schlafly.
According to the “home-making”-psuedo-politician, women having happily participated in nuptial vows can not, by the very nature of the contract, be sexually assaulted by their husbands.
By getting married, the woman has consented to sex, and I don’t think you can call it rape.
Really? I suppose we should go one step further and theorize that when you get married it’s not up to you anymore whether you have kids or not as well.
The logic behind this astounds me. Not to mention the inner hackles that get upset when reminded that there really are people out there fighting for ideas like this.
I especially enjoy her ‘educated opinion’ on women with both children and a career…”While Schlafly said she has no problem with women raising a family and pursuing a professional career, she said they can’t be done at the same time.”
I wonder what her family thinks about all the idealist traveling she does for her ’career’?

I probably had it correct with just not watching popular news and obtaining it through my own means (qualiy news, that is). Oh well. I had a good run. I just have to start it over is all.
It sort of started with a boo-hoo story about how "girls" are more likely to get into college because…they do better:
By the time college admissions come into the picture, many watchers of the "boy gap" agree, it’s too late for the lads to catch up on their own. Indeed, beginning in those formative K-12 years, girls watch less television, spend less time playing sports, and are far less likely to find themselves in detention. They are more likely to participate in drama, art, and music classes—extracurriculars that are catnip for admissions officers.
U.S. News reports that some colleges are now failing to admit appropriate women in lieu of admitting men in order to avoid a gender gap. Now…wait just a minute here. If memory serves there are European American men out there that at some point have felt that equal opportunity did them wrong. Interesting, how the tables turn, isn’t it?
It didn’t take long though, to take a dramatic turn into dog info. Not that I don’t love dogs (I mean, really…I have a zoo of them in my home). But are general statistics on dogs what should really be important in the evening news? Can people not find this stuff out on their own? As a matter of fact, can people not figure it out on their own for that matter? They felt it was important to tell whoever was watching this evening that labradors are the most popular dog according to the American Kennel Club. No shit. Again, not that I don’t seriously heart dogs…but aren’t there more relevant things people should know when they blithely tune into and space out on the news? News flash…they’re also one of the breeds with the highest incidents of biting humans; only because they’re so popular. That’s statistics. That’s not really newsworthy.
NBC News deemed it really important to add a piece on how to correctly pronounce "Nevada" so as not to offend the locals. Really? They’re responsible for the armpit that is Reno…but we should be primarily concerned on a Wednesday evening with how to pronounce the state name?
In conclusion, there was also a story done on abuse of power by an on duty officer. This was disappointing, not because it was reported on the news, but because it is just indicative of the question…as humans are we really capable in general of dealing with any type of power without abusing it? I realize of course that not all of those indowed with power abuse it…but for case and point, check out the Stanford Mock Prison study.
The news as displayed on popular channels is seriously disappointing in so many ways. It is precisely why that is not my main source of what is going on in the world.

Everyone would be required to watch What The Bleep Do We Know.
There is no such thing as good or bad; we make things good or bad (I already knew that).
Most of us trap ourselves into an existence believing that there is no other…when actually there are millions of possible existences.
Everything we don’t want to know keeps us trapped where we are.
I’m going to start creating my own day/life/emotions rather than allowing other things to create them for me.
Quantum physics rules. :)

Rape is not funny. I am an intelligent individual. I know what ‘opinion’ and ‘fact’ are defined as. In this case, definitions be damned…rape is not funny in any capacity, in any situation, nor in any circumstance. If you do think it’s funny something is severely wrong with you and were you in my office I would provide you with a mental health referral immediately. Oh and by the way…if you think rape is funny and also think it’s okay to laugh about it publicly you shouldn’t be on the air-I don’t care if it is unregulated XM radio.
These two assholes would obviously disagree with me. (If you are sensitive to vulgarity & language-probably better that you don’t take a listen to the second link).
My favorite part about all of this are the idiots that defend it and turn it into a ‘censorship’ issue. Really?!? Are you sure about that? Glances at message boards that are supporting Opie & Anthony reveal that many are asking that an apology be issued to the two for the 30-day suspension of their show. An apology? They should have been dropped all together-immediately.
Violent acts against women, or anyone for that matter…are just not funny-and consequences for mocking them are really not a censorship issue.

First off…new pics! Love it.
Second: One of my old supervisors is an a-hole. It’s way too long of a story to go into, I just thought I’d mention it
Third: I love my job. People actually want to talk to me and want to see me-this is good because most clients in that type of clinic avoid having to meet with counselors like the plague. Sometimes they even ask to see me before they’re really required to. I love my job.
Fourth: I abhor Snoop Dogg.
Fifth: When the going gets tough it’s always a spectacular idea to make birth control unreasonably expensive. Really.
Sixth: Response by moron message boarder on a "men are the victims" site I visit sometimes…he was responding to an article called "The nightmare of feminism":
We now have the first generation of men raised by women and now it is going onto a second generation of fatherless boys raised by women. You can see the feminism, just spewing bad advice, being bitter and angry, wondering why their relationships with normal men don’t work out. Then passing this bitterness and anger onto others masqueraded as to what is the norm. They circle the wagons and try to belittle those who oppose their agenda or comment on their behavior.
Fortunately there are a few who recognize the differences in men and women and realize each brings something special to a relationship. A relationship can reach its greatest potential when both in a relationship are unselfish and putting the needs of their partner first; this is one of the greatest gifts you can give. Feminism robs this because of selfish thoughtless behavior and the gotta get mine attitude.
And just becuase this was posted on the men only board, I am sure some are salivating to post a comment and probably will. Because; "damn if a man have an opinion opposite of mine."
Well paint me blue…we ruined relationships all together. All our fault. It is easy, I suppose, to dismiss people as angry & irrational in order to avoid listening to what they have to say.
Seventh: Open Mike is lame. My favorite is when he compares having a psychological addiction to marijuana to someone cheating on their taxes.
Eight: I love my home.
